ancients.gg is provided as is, for information about the Ancients Minecraft server. We try to keep it accurate and online, but we do not promise either. Changelogs, loot tables and stats shown here are a snapshot and can lag behind the live game.

Conduct in game and in the Discord is covered by the server rules, not by this page.

You keep ownership of anything you record. Uploading does not sign your video over to us.

What you do grant, by ticking the box on the upload page, is permission for Ancients to store, edit, cut, caption, and publish your footage, in videos, shorts, streams, and social posts, worldwide and royalty-free, meaning we do not owe you money for using it. That permission does not expire, because a video already published cannot be un-published years later. You are free to post the same footage anywhere else you like.

• You recorded it yourself, or you have the right to give it to us.
• It does not contain anyone else's copyrighted material, background music in particular. Music you did not licence is the single most common reason a clip cannot be used.
• It does not contain private information about anyone, yours or otherwise. Check your screen for anything you did not mean to capture.
• It is not illegal, hateful, sexual, or harassing.

If we use your footage, you are credited by your Minecraft username. Ask and we will credit you differently, or leave you out of the credits entirely.

If we use your footage we will normally reward you in-game: Obols, or the things Obols buy. It is a thank-you rather than a contract: there is no set rate, amounts are decided case by case, and the permission above holds whether or not you are rewarded.

In-game rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

We are under no obligation to use, keep, or respond to anything you send. Most raw footage is never published, and files are routinely deleted once they have been cut down or judged unusable. Do not upload your only copy of anything.

We may refuse or remove any submission, for any reason, without explanation.

Change your mind and we will delete the raw file and stop using it going forward: open a ticket in the Discord or email playancients@gmail.com.

The one thing we cannot undo is a video already published, since it is out in the world and often mirrored elsewhere. We will remove your credit from it on request.

Store purchases support the server's running costs. They are for cosmetic and convenience items in a game that can be reset, rebalanced, or shut down, and they are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise. Chargebacks result in a ban.

These terms can change. Material changes are announced in the Discord, and the date at the top always reflects the current version. Your existing uploads stay under the terms you agreed to at the time.
